Fall 2016 IPSO Alliance Open House
The IPSO Alliance is pleased to announce that we will host an Open House and Reception on Tuesday, October 18, from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront. The event will feature keynotes from NIST’s Chris Greer, Director of Cyber Physical Systems and Smart Cities, and Orange’s VP of Digital Innovation, Patrice Slupowski, as well as overviews of the Alliance and our Working Group activities.
2:30 PM Sign-in and networking
The program will be followed by a happy hour mix and mingle, with member demonstrations of their IoT products and the opportunity to speak with members of the Alliance to learn how IPSO’s work is advancing the development of the IoT. Featured demos:
- STMicroelectroics will demonstrate IoT nodes and gateway technologies based on the STM32 Open Development Environment (STM32 ODE). The nodes belong to a 6LoWPAN network and use sub-1GHz RF for communications. The IPSO Smart Objects data model is used to represent the sensors and actuators resources on the nodes. A tiny gateway enables connecting the nodes to an OMA Lightweight M2M (LWM2M) server. Users can connect to this server to access the resources on the IoT nodes. This demo leverages the latest open standards for constrained resource environments.
- Micrium will demonstrate its embedded RTOS components running on the ARM mbed IoT Device Platform, which offers a powerful and modular foundation on which to build your Internet of Things (IoT) applications—a stable platform featuring a real-time kernel that has been successfully deployed in countless connected systems. This demo showcases the easy-to-use and intuitive APIs that the software offers for cloud connectivity.
- Synapse wireless will be demonstrating RF200 wireless modules, the E20 internet gateway, and the SNAP Thing platform – a combination of hardware and software toolsets that enable IoT developers to bridge intelligence to the networked “Things” of the IoT and seamless integrate them into the cloud.
- The IoTerop OMA Lightweight M2M commercial stack including IPSO Smart Objects data model will be showcased during the event; this stack is a worldwide reference and state-of-the-art LWM2M implementation, kept up-to-date with standard evolutions.
